Cookies Policy
Short version: this site sets nothing unless you say yes. By default there are no cookies, no analytics, and no third-party scripts — and if you decline, it stays that way.
What we set by default
No cookies. Pages are static HTML served from our host; nothing tracks your visit. The one thing the site ever writes without loading anything is a single localStorage entry, rt-consent, created only after you answer the consent banner — it stores your answer and nothing else, so we don't have to ask you on every page.
If you allow analytics
Choosing “Allow analytics” loads Google Analytics 4, which sets two cookies on regulatorytoolkit.com: _ga and _ga_HERYGS1D1Y (each kept by Google for up to two years). They give us anonymous page-view counts — which templates and essays people actually use — and nothing we could tie to you. We use Google’s Consent Mode with everything denied by default; advertising storage stays denied even after you opt in.
If you decline — or say nothing
Nothing loads and nothing is set. If you decline after previously allowing, the analytics cookies are deleted. Browsers that send Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track are treated as a “no” automatically — you won’t even see the banner.

The launch-updates form sends us the email address you type and nothing else; submitting it sets no cookies.
If this ever changes
Any new cookie gets named on this page before it ships. A policy this short only works if it is kept true.
